My approach.

The Skilled Helper

I work relationally, building a trusting partnership where you feel safe to explore and grow. My framework is based on the Skilled Helper Model, which provides a clear, three-stage map for our work together:

  1. Exploration: Understanding your story and current challenges.

  2. Vision: Identifying what you want your "preferred future" to look like.

  3. Action: Developing the strategies and tools to get you there.

As an integrative therapist, I don’t believe in a "one size fits all" approach. Instead, I blend three core modalities to suit your specific needs:

  • Person-Centred (PCA): Ensuring you are heard without judgment, placing your lived experience at the center of the work.

  • Psychodynamic: Exploring how your past experiences and hidden patterns might be influencing your present-day feelings and behaviors.

  • CBT: Providing practical tools to manage "here and now" challenges, such as anxiety, by looking at the link between your thoughts and actions.
